Have you ever wondered what makes a commercial more effective and attention grabbing then others? A good commercial persuades you to buy an object or do something for a cause. These commercials use several different ways to persuade you, like humor and empathy. The commercials that are going to be talked about in this essay are the Audi commercial about women's rights, and the Mr. Clean commercial. These commercials used two drastically different ways to persuade you to buy their products. Have you ever wondered what makes these commercials more effective to some people than others? The Audi commercial used empathy to gather your interests. This commercial talked about how women are not treated the same as men, and may be treated unequal. Using this serious topic, Audi used empathy to persuade you to look at tour screen and be persuaded to buy their product. Mr. Clean, on the other hand, used humor to persuade onlookers to use their cleaning products. Mr. Clean showed how their product worked by showing Mr. Clean going around the house wiping up stains.
