The Dominican republic has a Democratic government, with elected government members. There are three main branches in the Dominican, Executive, Legislature, and Judicial. The most dominant branch is the Executive branch. Presidents can serve for a four year term once they are elected. There is also a vice president, so incase the president dies or can’t be in office, the vice president will take charge. The formal name for the Legislative branch is the Congress of the Republic. In this branch is the Senate and Chamber of Deputies. One senator is elected from each of the country's provinces and one senator from the National District, which is Santo Domingo. All of the judges that are in the Judicial branch are chosen by the senate, not by the
