The presidencies of Theodore Roosevelt and Franklin D. Roosevelt were both impactful and left a great legacy on the United States. Both of these great men improved the United States and made the country more powerful. Though separated by over three decades, their presidential careers had both similarities and differences. Some similarities between the two were their progressive domestic policies, how they established American dominance on the international stage, and their strong leadership. Some differences between the two presidents include the state of their economy, the peace of the United States, and what they focused on. Both Theodore Roosevelt and Franklin D. The second difference between these two presidents was the peace of the United States. During Theodore Roosevelt's reign, the United States was mostly under peace and was not directly involved in any wars. Roosevelt even earned a Nobel Peace Prize by having a major role in ending the Russo-Japanese War. In all, during Theodore Roosevelt's presidency, the United States had very good relationships internationally. On the contrary for Franklin D. Roosevelt, tensions were rising not only for the United States but with the entire world with the beginning of WWII. Eventually, after deciding to not remain neutral in the war due to the events of Pearl Harbor, the United States entered the war. This of course caused many deaths, along with the quality of life dropping due to food rations and most people, including women, having to work and men being drafted into war.
