Shakespeare Essay Some people think that teaching Romeo and Juliet in the ninth grade is too hard or deep. Some people think that Romeo and Juliet is good to teach in the ninth grade to learn life lessons. My view on teaching Romeo and Juliet is good to teach in the 9th grade because it is a good coming of age story and helps learn about life. One reason I think that Romeo and Juliet is good to teach in ninth grade is because it helps young students to learn about life such as love, and how it can destroy or help someone in love. It is also relevant to teenage boys and girls that are going through problems in the 9th grade.

In The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet,Romeo and Juliet were two very similar people by the way they acted to even the way their families acted. They both get treated the same way by their parents, they both were not honest, and even their families acted the same way. Both, Romeo and Juliet got treated the same way by their parents. Juliet’s dad, Lord Capulet was going to let Juliet have some say in who she married. He became very hard on her and gave her no choice but to marry Paris once he found out about Rome.
After what Lord Capulet told me about Paris, I had Juliet meet Paris, a great man with riches and fame. I anticipate that she put in some effort in liking Paris since the feast, so that Lord Capulet can be happy. Hopefully the feast went well for both Juliet and Paris so they may lead on to a marriage as quickly as possible and the Capulet family may finally rise in riches and fame! Lord Capulet wants Paris to marry Juliet in two years, but I had gotten married even younger than Juliet as she is now so I believe it is only appropriate for her to do so as well. There is no reason for Paris to wait as Lord Capulet demanded.
From the beginning of the play, it is evident that Romeo is a passionate person. In Act I, Romeo is in a depressive state due to succumbing to love with a woman named Rosaline. On a tirade, Romeo tells how he is somber due to love, furthermore, how love can dismantle one. Rejected, Romeo is woefully articulating his apprehension pertaining to how love has altered him. (1.1 L. 164-176).
Act IV of Romeo and Juliet, provides a whirlwind of emotional thoughts and structures of choices as to how Romeo and Juliet will eventually see each other. First, Friar Laurence and Juliet make a plan to avoid Juliet’s marriage to Paris, which involves her telling Capulet that she will marry Paris, faking her own death, and eventually running off to Mantua to be with Romeo. When Juliet returns home, she apologizes to her father and tells him that she will marry Paris the next day. Then, Juliet tells the Nurse and Lady Capulet that she wishes to be left alone, and prepares to drink Friar Laurence’s potion. Juliet ponders if Friar Laurence is trying to kill her, or what will happen if she wakes up in the tomb, but never doubts that Romeo

The stories of Romeo and Juliet and Pyramus and Thisbe tell the tale of two lovers suffering a tragic end. Both of the star-crossed lovers were fated to die. However, their personal choices were the real perpetrators of their untimely ends. The first piece of evidence to back up the personal choice claim is Romeo rushing to drink the dram of poison and not looking at Juliet properly.
Romeo and Juliet Comparison Essay West side story is deeply beneficial for diversity because of how it shows the different point of views of the white and puerto rican people. It shows racism, violence, and lots of profiling based on race. In the movie West Side Story they are rivals and hate each other, the white people (jets) are extremely racist towards the Puerto Ricans and don't like them for “taking their territory”. In Romeo and Juliet there is rivalry but with no specific reason but the hatred gets passed down like tradition.
Throughout Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, contrast is displayed between Friar Lawrence and Romeo. Romeo’s habit of impulsively doing things along with his immaturity directly contradicts the Friar’s wisdom and patience. This contrast between the Friar and Romeo can be viewed as a foil. Friar Lawrence is sensible, wise, composed, and thinks things over before coming to a decision. He proves this for the duration of the play.
Romeo and Juliet: Act Two After the ball Romeo decides he cannot go home so he climbs the wall of the Capulet household to go find Juliet. Benvolio and Mercutio enter and call out for Romeo but they get no response from him. Benvolio and Mercutio make fun of Romeo and his love for Rosaline. Romeo hears them them but doesn’t let them know.
realizes this and proceeds to persuade Romeo once more by explaining that “I talk of dreams; which are the children of an idle brain, begot of nothing but vain fantasy” (I.IV.96-98). Ultimately, Mercutio convinces Romeo that dreams develop due to an idle brain that consists of nothing but unrealistic fantasies. At the Capulet’s feast that Mercutio forces Romeo to attend, Romeo’s love for Juliet interrupts his pining for Rosaline. At that moment in time, Romeo is downcast because of Rosaline’s failure to return his love, as a result, he rushes his feelings for Juliet. Since Mercutio brings Romeo to the Capulet’s feast, Romeo meets Juliet, which begins the journey until their deaths.
