Living in two distinct places gave me an understanding of events that show correspondence to what other people may live through. In my occasion, I have lived in Tennessee and Nicaragua. I have lived in Tennessee for fourteen years and counting. My family and I had the opportunity to go live in Nicaragua for a month last year. When I arrived to Nicaragua I was astonished to see how distinct it is compared to Tennessee. As I continued to observe, I saw a few similarities as well as differences. Tennessee and Nicaragua are separated by the differences in architecture, economy, food, and tradition. The first difference is the architecture. Nicaragua has some of the most beautiful buildings found in Managua and in the major cities. Many people view the architecture in Nicaragua as a great attraction for tourist. The toilet was made out of what seemed to be ceramic. The bathroom did not have a sink to wash your hands. It was simply a toilet that is very similar to a porta potty in Tennessee. On the contrary, my house in Tennessee was a strong and secure house. It contains everything that a house should have such as a roof, doors, and a bathroom. The second difference that I noticed is the economy. Nicaragua is one of the poorest countries in Central America. In Nicaragua, economy has always been the main issue for the people. Most people are unable to attend school because of the cost and the circumstances.
