At first glance, it appears that Contikis European Discovery includes more and that is correct. It includes sixteen meals, accommodation, transport, free time to do what is pleased and add ons that are included in the packages and ones that are not. Compared to Top Decks Euro hopper tour, Contiki offers a lot more opportunity and time to do what is pleased whereas Top Deck do not offer nearly as much time. Top Deck in general only offers eleven meals, accommodation, transport and a tour guide so it sounds quite appealing, but when comparing the inclusions, it is truly up to the traveller. If they are a no fuss traveller and don’t mind things being organised and more controlled for you at each destination, Euro hopper from Top Deck may be your perfect option, whereas Contiki is more for an adventurous type traveller that likes to experience things on their own terms slightly more and is the best value with inclusions. When looking at both tours, it is easy to tell which one is more economical. With Top Decks tour Euro Hopper only offering $1,725.60, it seems reasonable that it has the best value for money. Well the price is fantastic but the traveller is only in one of the most beautiful continents in the world for eight days and only gets to explore four countries while not getting the full experience. In contrast, contikis European discovery is $4,000 more but it covers eight countries in twelve days and there are so many inclusions such as quality meals and more ‘free time’ to see many more sights and interests. Contikis European Discovery is the best value for money.
When looking at both tours, it is noticeable that the length of both tours are not long. For that reason, it can be decided on by the traveller on what suits their budget, needs and expectations. A tourist that prefers to rush through Europe and see only the more touristy, popular sights in a short period of time could do Contiki’s European discovery tour rather than a tour that goes for eight days.
