1. The article introduces the reader to the general topic in the first sentence by stating statistical data. This data is about the percentage of serve shot used in the game compared to all shots used in the game of tennis. I think this is a good way to attract attention of the reader because statistics highlight the fact about importance of the serve to a tennis player.
2. Problem is stated as it affects all of the women tennis players. Women’s serve does not reach the same speed as men’s serve due to various reasons. It is a problem because in that case more shots are performed from the baseline and that decreases chances of winning service games for the server.
