This article is about Condoleezza Rice getting awarded with the “Inspire Greatness Award” by the KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit during the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Rice has been an exemplary of helping women find their ways into leadership as well as inspiring a new generation in leading them to establish themselves as leaders. As well, Rice has been an inspiration for many women to follow their dreams in the work place and the particular organization or industry they are working in. The reason why people and especially women have looked at Condoleezza Rice as such an idol figure is because as a leader herself she embodies integrity, confidence, decision-making, and clarity which all are traits that make people believe …show more content…

Since Rice is embodying such great traits as being a leader I am even more encouraged to become a leader within the sports industry because being a leader like her is going to enable me to make a difference for the following generation.
Leader Example – Jacques Rogge
Jacque Rogge, President of the International Olympic Committee, is one of very important people within the sports industry that has established great things so far. His mentality as a leader has inspired a lot of people to follow him. Rogge stresses that the key to IOC leadership in sports is due to transformational leadership on moral and social values as well as inspiring the youth all over the world. However, the most important part to being a good leader of the ICO is to have self-knowledge and to be aware of one’s limitations – to show humility and a good sense of humor.
