After learning about stress management strategies and the importance of prioritizing values, I have noticed that there is a connection between the two. Even though not everyone in the gym knew about what I was going through, they were always there to cheer me up. Every practice and competition, my team, coaches, and coworkers were always so supportive. On days where I was overwhelmed from dealing with my father’s negative behaviors, my coaches would take the time to talk to me to help me relax.
