This cookbook provides different child-friendly recipes that younger children can cook with the assistance of adults, and older children can cook on their own.

The cookbook is divided into different, labeled sections for each category of food, in addition to a separate section for preparing the kitchen. Significant words are not bolded or highlighted; however, there is a section at the beginning that provides a pictorial explanation of various kitchen utensils. While there are no questions for comprehension, the instructions explain how the food should appear during each step of the process. Additionally, many of the recipes have tips. Supplemental boxes at the bottom of many of the recipes provide additional tips for preparing or eating the food. The text is relevant for children who have read Disney books or watched Disney movies.
