Network Security Policies
A network security policy is a set of administrative rules aimed to create order and control the access and utilization of system resources in an organization. The strategy aims to ensure that the system is secure within the organization as well as securing any information destined to other systems outside. This entails protection of the organizational framework, its assets, identification of risks, risk management and damage control in case of a security breach. All these guidelines and rules should be outlined together with well-defined roles each user of the system according to their user level privileges.

For the company to thrive in the ICT sector there is need to implement strategies that can ensure that the company benefits from the technology in place. All company system users need to be trained on how to use the ICT resources allocated to them so that they can optimize usage of security, communication as well as productivity aspects of the system. The free Wi-Fi in the institution needs to be secured to be used only by authorized users. In addition, some unnecessary web content should be blocked to ensure users should access relevant information from the internet. The users must be aware of the importance of keeping the passwords confidential. The passwords should also be complex and must be changed regularly. Due to all these aspects, as an IT professional, the following are the policies that will guide how Technology is used in Copra Tek Company.
1. Wireless communication policy
With the high rate in which employees are acquiring smartphones and laptops, there is need to control the mode in which they use the wireless Wi-Fi. The sole purpose of this policy is to protect assets owned by Copra Tek. This company provides computers, networks, and other electronics to ensure that the goals and mission of the institution are achieved. The policy requires that all infrastructures employed in Copra Tek network be classified as confidential and must abide by the following:
