Corinth was an ancient city-state in Ancient Greece, and one of the most powerful states as well. It was a very wealthy city. They had strong alliances with other city-states such as Sparta, Athens and Thebes and played a big part in many of the wars in Greece. They were famous for their amazing architecture and building skills, they were one of the most powerful city-states in Ancient Greece history.
History
Although the first major settlement was in 1000BC, Corinth dates back to 6000BC where the earliest Neolithic discoveries were found, making them one of the oldest city-states in Ancient Greece history.
