Throughout the course of this research paper, angina, myocardial infarction, and cardiac arrest will be discussed by providing definitions, signs and symptoms that lead to suspicion and diagnosis, as well as treatment. What is Angina, Myocardial Infarction, and Cardiac Arrest? Angina, also referred to as angina pectoris, according to Pollack (2012) is chest
Praulent, a new cholesterol drug, when used with older statin medicines, help lower risk of heart events and deaths. The results of the big study of heart attack survivors were shared on Saturday at an American College of Cardiology conference in Florida. Sanofi and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, the makers of Praulent which sponsored the study, said they will work with insurers on pricing to get the drug to those who need it the most. While the benefit may appear small, since 167 people have to take the medication for almost three years to prevent a single death, Dr. Philippe Gabriel Steg, from Hospital Bichat in Paris, pointed out that it is the ultimate outcome that matters to patients. High cost
Heart disease is one of the most dangerous health problems sometimes killing more than cancer. Heart hypertrophy, to name a health problem, is disease where the heart enlarges and causes sudden death to the patient. The Abertay University created a small human heart from stem cells and enlarging by the chemical stimulate to cause the heart to grow and cause sudden death, symptoms caused by heart hypertrophy. According to Jonathan O’Callaghan from the dailymail.com that once diseased, the hearts are then treated with newly developed medications to see if they prevent the damage from occuring.

AHA was created in 1924 by six Cardiologists, in order to help find a cure to Heart Disease the AHA needs donations to fund research. “$5 Billion, Invested in scientific research. Since 1949, the AHA has been making significant annual investments in research and reached this milestone Summer 2022”(AHA 1). Over a seventy-three year span, AHA has received five billion dollars through donations in order to find a cure for the leading cause of death globally.

INTRODUCTION Ischemic heart disease is the leading cause of death worldwide in hospitalized patients[1]. Cardiovascular morbidity and mortality increases exponentially from 75 years-old [2]. Approximately, 30% of patients admitted for acute myocardial infarction (AMI) are over 75 years old, and represent 50% of ischemic heart disease mortality [2,3]. Elderly patients have a higher risk for AMI short- and long-term mortality than younger patients [4,5]. On the other hand, nonagenarians with AMI non admitted to Coronary Care Unit (CCU) are increasing progressively [6].
“Heart failure is a condition in which the heart can't pump enough blood to meet the body's needs. Heart failure does not mean that your heart has stopped or is about to stop working. It means that your heart is not able to pump blood the way it should. It can affect one or both sides of the heart” (Chung 2013). Mrs. Organa because your heart pumps is weak, the blood flow moves at a slower pace inhibiting sufficient nutrients and oxygen needed to meet the body requirements.
Did you know that sitting for long periods of time can severely increase your chances of getting a heart attack? According to a statement published by World Health Organization and the International Society and Federation of Cardiology more than 20 years ago, physical inactivity stands as an important risk factor for developing coronary heart disease. In fact, recent studies even suggest that inactivity ranks higher than obesity, smoking, or high blood pressure in causing heart disease among individuals older than 30 years today. Without doubt, living a sedentary lifestyle has serious consequences. Did you also know that inactivity isn’t just wreaking havoc on your body, but on your mind as well?
Around 610,000 people each year in the United States die from a heart related problem, that is 1 in every 4 deaths (cdc.gov). Over the past 15 years, researchers and doctors have been finding ways to lower these numbers by creating new medicine, devices and other treatments. A doctor 's main goal is to prevent any heart problems from occurring, but as that is not entirely possible new devices are helping save people 's lives. Three devices and treatments that are being used in hospitals today include, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, Left Ventricle Assist Device and a MitraClip. These treatments and devices are making a huge impact on how heart problems are being treated in hospitals to save people 's hearts and lives.
FOODS TO CHOOSE WHEN YOU HAVE HEART DISEASE Heart disease generally termed as Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a kind of disorder that affects the functioning of heart. The CVD occurs due to blockage in the blood vessels that resist the flow of nutrition and oxygen into the body which results in sudden heart attacks. The heart diseases are classified into multiple types as cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease, heart arrhytmias, rheumatic heart disease and congenital heart infections. Risk factors such as hypertension, obesity, diabetes and high cholesterol are the major reasons for heart disease. In order to prevent heart disease, we must choose healthy heart diet that can control our body sugar level, cholestrol level, blood pressure and body weight.
A holistic approach to heart disease treatment is essential for comprehensive and effective management of the condition. A holistic approach recognizes the interconnectedness of these factors and aims to address the patient's physical, emotional, and social well-being. 1. Comprehensive Disease Management:
There’s a million different ways, I could write this, but I think the most important thing, that I need to say right off the bat, is that, I have incredible friends. And I know what you’re automatically thinking, how do you not do these things? Why don’t you do these things? The truth is, it’s because of two things; I’m Muslim and I have a heart condition, but the real truth is, these things don’t matter.
