Impact for society:
In society there is growing concern about the environment and farming practices, and how food production and distribution systems may be contributing to problems such as transport pollution, global warming, and loss of wildlife.
The average non-organic farmer is estimated to spray hops up to 14 times each year with an average of 15 pesticide products.
We want people to enjoy our products to the full but responsibly. By working with local farmers, who posses Biogarantie® label we ensure origin, quality, composition, and safety of our products.

Keeping this in mind we decided to change how we make beer from a “make, take, and waste” model to a circular system.
Our beers are made from high-quality ingredients issued from 100% organic culture and brewed within the closed ecological system. We source our ingredients at the nearby farm to cut down on transport. Spent grain from the brewing process becomes the substrate for growing mushrooms. Buying our beer doesn’t only mean the purchase of a high-quality local beer but also help to save nature, because our production process helps reduce waste and energy use.
Our position statement is as follows:
For environmental conscious beer-lovers, who want to support local producers, Cuvee Cortewalle is an organic beer that is produced from high-quality hops in an eco-friendly way. Unlike big breweries with mass production that harms the environment, our beer offers a unique and authentic taste with respect for nature.
