Career Choice I came to ATA to try and achieve my dream of being a cosmetologist. I have always loved doing hair, I have done my own hair about 32 times in the past 4 years, and I have done my mother’s hair too. Unfortunately, cosmetology here was a 2-year program and I am only here for 1 year. They ended up putting e in nail tech, which I am just as happy with, especially since I have to learn it for cosmetology anyways. My goal is to get my diploma and nail tech license from ATA, I plan to work as a nail tech for 1 year to attain money, then go to college at HGTC for cosmetology.
Personality Type My personality type is ISFP, I-Introvert, S-Sensitive, F-Feeling, and P-Perceiving. My personality type is eager to jump into new trends and to basically blend in and not be noticed. We are more in touch with the reality of our senses, we tend to receive more signals with our senses. Organized education is apparently difficult for most ISFPs, but I find organized learning to be very helpful. My strength is that I learn the most from taking notes and keeping up with papers, which is what most classes consist of in order to pass anyways. My weakness is that I am going to need a ton of paper and a lot of binders. It is going to require a lot of maintenance, especially since I am OCD about organizing. This learning style can help me with the career that I choose, because along with hands-on training, it also requires to keep track of papers to study with. It could hinder me, if my notes aren’t organized or if I lose my notes due to some tragedy or something
