My time management, organization, and ability to budget are very important for this position. I always do my best to give my best product in a timely fashion before the due date and never at the last minute—that is just too stressful! Since I always have my planner or calendar with me I am always on top of deadlines and try to complete tasks ahead of time so that I can give them my best effort. I always have reminders going off of my phone just to make sure I send things in early and too keep me aware of a due date or task I need to complete. I am extremely organized—especially for my job. I know I would have a billhighway training if I was to get this position and I know that Jordan would do everything in her power to make the transition smooth. I have always been on top of my payments and would make sure I stay on top of charging membership and keeping tabs on who has paid, yet to pay, or has outstanding balances. I would like to continue having a spreadsheet with all of the officers’ budgets and payments in it. Keeping track of what they are spending is extremely important—especially if they have many events they need to budget out for. I want to keep all of the receipts in an accordion folder organized by chair/committee. We don’t always see eye to eye and sometimes it makes work difficult. I had an extremely overwhelming week and one day she stood in front of me and told me I wasn’t happy enough and made me hold a smile in front of her for five minutes. She proceeded to make remarks that were just not appropriate in the workplace; she said that my life wasn’t important, that I had no reason to stress in my life because her life was way worse, and that I better smile because the only one allowed to fake smile was her. My main boss found out about it and told me that I needed to do whatever I could to fix the issue. I started going to my boss with all my problems and questions; she ended up translating these actions into my respect for her and her opinion. We’ve been getting along great since then. I understand that everyone has personal problems that can cause feelings to be transferred to other people. I found out later that her father had had emergency heart surgery the night before. I have started to not take what everyone says and does too personally—instead I check in with people that act out against me and see if there is anything deeper going on. Most of the time there is. I try not to let my emotions show and be the best version of myself—this is something I’m trying to work
