The skills that I have includes an ability to always put patients first in everything I do whilst providing safe, effective and appropriate treatment and care. I am someone who will always follow my training while adhering to the NHS working practices and operational procedures. Within this NHS role, I understand I will have a duty to ensure both myself and my work associates are safe at all times and that I follow proper guidelines and procedures, especially in respect of maintaining confidence, safeguarding, equality and diversity along with health, safety and conducting risk assessments. I communicate and deal with patients and their family on a daily basis, often having to listen to them carefully, asking them questions, and then advise them of suitable solution or advice to their needs. During one particular interaction with a patient whose Hindi or English were not their first language, I altered my style of communication and used a language conversion app to get to the bottom of their issue which then enabled me to quickly meet their needs. I also enjoy being busy at work, and have a flexible approach that means I am able to cover extra shifts and help out at short period of notice as per requirement. Being a compassionate person, I believe that everyone should be treated equally along with same quality services, regardless of who they are. I can maintain the confidentiality of the patient and also be trusted with confidential information and fully understand the external pressure the healthcare organizations and hospitals are under. Finally, I am loyal and committed to work, learn my role quickly while carrying it out with consistency, professionalism and focus on quality patient care. One quality that I believe helps me stand out is the fact my work is always focused entirely on meeting the values which are laid down by the healthcare trust I am working for.
