As he neared the stream, something caught his eye. There was an adorable black bear cub; a small creature, no more than two feet tall. It seemed to be playing at the edge of the water. Grady moved closer to get a better look. Then Grady heard a rustling behind him. He remembered that the cub could not be alone. Ho looked up and saw its mother. The mother didn't look quite happy. Grady got very scared and turned around trying to run. Before he could make it, He fell over a stick. "Ugh, stupid trees," whined Grady. The mother bear came closer and put a smile on her face. After that, it was an awkward silence. "Well I better get going, my parents and brother might be wondering where I am," said a very tired Grady. "Okay, but please come back again tomorrow," said a anxious Sam. After saying that, Grady went back to where his people was at, while mother bear and her cub went the other direction. As Grady slept that night, all he dreamed about was how much fun he will have with the bears, while on the camping trip. Since they will only be there for 2 more days, he was going to be sure to visit mother bear and Sam. The next morning, at the crack of dawn, Grady was up trying to eat fast, because he knew it was a fun day ahead of him. When he finished eating, he told his mom, dad, and brother that he was going back to the streamed today. "Okay, but be extra careful honey," considered Grady's mother. "Okay, so let's play hot potato," suggested mother bear. "What a great idea mother bear," agreed Grady. "You know you can call me Janice," mother bear responded. After 5 minutes of playing 15 rounds of tag, it was getting kind of dark. The three sat down on a log and ate s'mores, while watching stars and talking. "Well another day of success," cheered Janice. "I guess you're right, but I'm going to head out," said Grady. "Okay," remarked Sam and Janice at the same time. When Grady got back, he ran right into his tent and went to sleep. He dreamed of going swimming with the bears. So the next morning he did the same routine from yesterday, then headed to go find the bears. "Hello, can we go swimming," asked Grady. "Sure, but hold on just a second," commanded mother bear. She left and came back. "Okay now we are ready," signaled Janice. They got to the stream and dived in. They played Marco Polo, see who could hold their breath the longest, which Sam won most of the time. The three also had plenty of test to see who could swim the fastest. After getting out the water, they all dried off and said their goodbyes. Grady hopes to see them again next
