There must always be toleration in both parties to avoid this circumstance. One of the utmost important barriers to mentorship is the necessary time needed by both mentor and mentee (Straus et al., 2009). The issue that I faced most during my mentoring journey was that it was hard to plan time for meeting sessions. My working hours is from 7:30am to 1:30pm whereas my mentees are working either for after school programme or helping out in various departments. It was hard for us to plan a time to meet up as there are 5 of us in the team and it wasn’t easy as 5 decisions are made at the same time. In the beginning when we had discussion of when to meet up, there are so many different suggestions and time slots given. I was a little worried in the beginning if the mentoring journey will be a success. For this, I was very glad that my mentees were willing to cooperate and sacrifice a little to walk this journey together that we made it a point to sacrifice one of the mornings and come to school at 7:15am to get ready our class work.
