Introduction For my controlled assessment I am going to, investigate how my chosen business, Happy Days meets the needs all five market segments and how this can lead to the success of a business, mainly Happy Days. I will do this through Primary research; the types of primary research I have used are observations in the takeaway interviews with the owner and questionnaires for the current customers of Happy Days. Because the prices of the goods are already reasonably low, Happy Days does not offer certain discounts however instead they have meal deal options, free delivery on orders over £12 and a free garlic bread on orders over £18. This is helpful and beneficial to Happy Days because larger families order more food than a family of 3, therefore if they are getting more for their money they would want to order again from Happy Days, which means more profit for the business. If the business continues offering these particular offers, it could lead to great success for the business because it will gain the customers loyalty and a larger customer base will want to purchase the products, therefore the revenue of the business will increase because the number of units sold/services provided will have increased. Employees, in particular, will be affected by this; the more customers they have to serve, the harder employees have to work.
