Culture is a main part in a business and it has a huge power on the intentional way of busi-ness. Culture effects management for decision making and all other business purposes from production to accounting. The business culture defines as the ethics and actions that donate to the exclusive social and also physical environment of the organization. Hofstede's cultural dimensions theory is a guide for multicultural communication, established by Geert Hofstede, a well-known social psychologist. It defines the special effects of a socie-ty's culture on the standards of its supporters, and how values relate to behavior, using a structure derived from factor analysis. As per the Hof-stede’s theory, the power distance dimension describes the degree to which the less power-ful members of a society consent and imagine that power is spread unequally. The major problem at this point is how the society manages imbalances among people. This report in-cludes coverage of power distance dimension and how this influences interpersonal com-munication in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka has a high power distance where there is an important volume of hole between superiors and the other co-workers when it comes to the work
