America vs. Australia

Different cultures around the world have different customs and cuisines native to their area. Each culture has items of food that are traditional to that culture. Since the world is growing, these cultures have been introduced to other cultures and form new foods. In both Australia and America, lots of cultures have come and shared their customs with the people there. Not only did these cultures share their cuisines, but they also shared the way that they obtain and prepare their foods. While Australia and the US share similarities in their food culture, the main difference is that Australia has an ethical and humane system of killing because animals also feel pain, much like humans do. Australians have a wide variety of food culture because there has been a lot of migration to Australia in the past. Much like in America, Australians have Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Mexican, and many other cuisines to dine at (“Moving to Australia”). Australian chefs have also taken these cuisines and incorporated them into traditional Australian meals. Australians eat 3 meals a day, just like Americans do. “Animal Ethics” was used for the succeeding information. While these animals may not go through physical pain when they get killed, they do go through psychological pain. They get scared after being transported from the farm to the slaughterhouse because they are crowded together and hear the cries from the other animals. They also do not get fed because the workers at the slaughterhouse do not want to deal with the animal waste. Some animals do get stunned before killing, but some do not.
