Personal factors are within a child’s genes which influence their development and change how the brain works. This can influence a child’s personality and health. Genetics: are what triggers a disability. This could be an impairment of cognitive ability or physical growth so this means the child may not be able to learn in the same way as other children and they will need extra support in daily activities. Health problems: such as Asthma which affects the child’s breathing, the child will then get breathless a lot quicker than others when taking part in physical activities.
