The time has come and I am preparing to graduate. And honestly, I feel a little nervous but very excited. I have come so far and I do not want to mess up, but I am excited to graduate with my fellow Durham Nativity School brothers and celebrate this honorable accomplishment. I am so happy that I was able to attend DNS. A meaningful thing that has happened to me overall was building a brotherhood here. One thing I love about DNS the most is that the students feel like family, I have built long lasting friendships and bonds. I remember in choir once I was cutting up, and Ramses came out to me and said: “Jaylen you need to calm down before you get in trouble”. The challenging part is mostly projects and the work. In the eighth grade, the workload increases a bit with homework and test and still doing the big project! Sounds like a lot, but I can manage my time and organize all of these things thanks to my personal habits I have built over the years. Eighth grade to me is the best year at DNS because it is almost time to graduate and we have more freedom. So far my eighth-grade year has been successful and I am keeping myself motivated to do my best, not mess up, and to work hard throughout the rest of the year. Through six and seventh grade I was never really organized, but in the eighth grade, I had a moment that made me realize that if I wanted to do good and keep my grades up I had to be organized. The moment was when it was almost time for finals. When it came time for me to start my studies it took me a very long time for me to find all of my notes and important papers because my locker and my notebook was disorganized, I literally had to empty my whole entire binder and organize all my notes and papers for each class. This took up valuable study time which I did not like. After this moment and receiving my grades I realized that I can no longer stay disorganized. Before the start of the third quarter, I put together a system for myself so that I would not have to worry about disorganization. For each class, I have a binder and I organized each binder so that it would have a certain section for notes, homework, and class work. This was the best decision that I could have ever made, my grades improved and I had a much easier time
