According to Dalton Conley gender inequality is being taught to children in the classroom. They are taught what colors to wear and how to act properly gendered. Stereotypes are shown to young girls every day, not only in school but in the social media, magazines, and books. If you turn on your television you will also see house and cooking products are being advertise to women, oppose to sports and tools, for men. Boys and girls are expected to follow these roles based on their biological sex. We are taught these roles at a young age to help us better understand the difference between a boy and a girl, I understand how society sets these roles but I do not agree with them. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that she was an awful mother because she decided not to work and stay at home. my understanding was that the person who worked hard for their money had the say as where that money should go, it was only fair. Growing older I realized that I did not want to have this issue, I will not let a man dictate where I should spend my money or put a limit to what I spend. I am certain this is where I began to have the mentality of an independent woman.
Thus, concluding my reasons of why a woman should have equal pay as a male. We are all human beings and work hard for our money, we should all be treated the same. Not only will it be fair, but it will give women motivation to strive for their best in their work field every day, knowing that they are getting paid equally. Most of the women are the everyday spenders, they buy groceries, cleaning products, clothing, and home improving items. Therefore, allowing the women to spend more hence helping the economic
