“The central theme of the Dark Knight trilogy is fear”
The Story begins by Bruce falling into a well, then getting swarmed by bats. This is the moment fear is instilled in him therefore leading to the death of his parents after a mugging at a play the family had gone to watch, due to the play reminded him of bats. Bruce finding no meaning in his life and blaming himself for his parents murder came across a man called Henri Ducard(generally known as Ra’s al Ghul)from the league of shadows. Ra’s al Ghul is there to help Bruce get over the fear that is eating at him. “To turn fear against those who prey on the fearful”-Bruce Wayne. This ninja society fights any city that has gone corrupt. The most important thing is that this is where he becomes one with fear. “In order to conquer fear, one must become fear”-Ra’s al Ghul, this is when Bruce gets over all his fears that have haunted him for his entire life. As we reach this over coming of fear the final step in the society is to kill a man that has been stealing from his own community to complete the process. Batman is a beacon for villain’s and therefore at-tracting the most fearful villains that Gotham will ever see. Bane and Miranda Tate( Ra’s Al Ghul’s daughter. Talia al Ghul) are to continue what Ra’s al Ghul wanted to achieve and that’s seeing Gotham destroyed. Bane being the inflictor and Miranda being the inside source, ultimately find out who Batman really is and go after him. This is the first time he is faced with this fear of failure and seeks for help leading up to Catwomen. Bane was the first person to be bigger, stronger and faster to face Batman a succeed, by Breaking Bruce’s Back and making him fear the most ultimate thing that is
