In healthcare the data collection is done by electronic medical record (EMR), sharing the data between the workflow team done by health information exchange (HIE), finally collected and shared data is analyzed by enterprise data warehouse (EDW). HCO are vastly using analytics capacity to gain an accurate and deep understanding of information and operational improvement to meet the business new challenges. Analytic data provide more personalized healthcare, we can also find frauds and predict the patient behavior. In organization every level has its own kind of development, organizations like Intermountain healthcare ineffective at lower levels but from level 5 its start efficiency where analyst and data architects spend more time on marketing differentiating analytics.
In today’s society, another revolutionary invention that has shaped the circulation of information is the World Wide Web, also known as the Internet. The Internet’s quality of data widely varies from either outright abominable to pristine and clear data. The widespread abundance of all of this data is now known as “Big Data” Silver (2012). Silver goes on to illustrate many examples of statistics at work among many fields such as the failure of the stock ratings agencies to properly rate the actual integrity and value of the corporations due to greed. Silver also goes on to criticize television pundits and classifies so called “analysts” and experts into two groups; hedgehogs and foxes.

It includes almost all data analysis activities a company conducts. “Business analytics includes predictive analytics and modeling, performance management, business intelligence (BI) and data management” (Griffin, 2010). The foundation of business analytics is statistical data which is used to determine or predict possible outcomes (Galleto, 2017). Verizon has embarked on an enterprise-wide Data Centralization and Analytics initiative to use data as a competitive advantage and provide business insights that enhance shareholders value. Verizon understands how enhancing the maturity of the use of BI and advanced analytics on data will drive the business. Verizon just as many other companies such as Walmart, Netflix and Google are constantly apply their analytical capabilities with analytics. Understanding or acquiring the talents that have a passion or diligently wanting to improve and transform data analytics is a key priority at Verizon. Verizon has created a new team and initiative that forward think out of the box to achieve multiple parallel projects in the governance/operating work stream and the overall initiative.
Mathematics is a necessary skill that we have to possess in our daily lives. Including statistical knowledge, mathematics can not only help us solve simple calculations, but also changes conversations and encourage the disruptive innovation in the 21st century. From scientists examining the infinite blackness of space to find a set of laws in an otherwise chaotic universe, to children exploring their small ecosystem in search of reasons as to why Mother always responds positively to laughter, analytics is deeply ingrained in all of society. This phenomenon of humanity's recent obsession of metrics have now invaded the work environment. For companies that have accepted this recent shift, every action that an organization does is calculated and methodical.
I am excited to write this support letter for Gary Zhu’s application to the Fields Undergraduate Summer Research Program. Gary was a fellow in our Data Science for Social Good program (i.e., “DSSG”; https://dsi.ubc.ca/dssg/) from May 2017 to September 2017. The DSSG program is an intensive summer research internship program where undergraduate and graduate students work in teams on focused, collaborative research projects that have the potential to benefit society. As the Program Manager for the DSSG program at the University of British Columbia, I was part of the Selection Committee that assessed Gary’s application and oversaw his work this past summer.

This novel is about a teenage boy named Huck finn and a slave named Jim and the adventures they go through together.
