The goals and objectives I set for attending this Career Advising appointment was to distinguish the main career paths that encompass my majors of Business Analytics and Marketing. I wanted to discuss the interests and skills I possess and the differences that are evident in these two major paths. In reference to Marketing, the diversity and ability to uniquely utilize my skills in a variety of situations, not one client and situation will be similar. Additionally, I am an extroverted personality and with that in mind I would like to have client and marketer interactions, so I can gain interpersonal communications with these individuals. Initially, after discussing these interests, I thought the career titles of Marketing Manager and facilitating Advertising into a career would be of huge importance. Prior to going to my meeting, I made an objective to figure out what career titles were associated with Business Analytics or Information Systems and the key differences between the two. Since this major is a new addition, I have yet to find my niche, where I know which skills I have mastered, where my interest lies, and what I would want to implement in a career. The Career Advisor suggested and lead to the believe that I thought my dream career would be a Marketing Analyst. Additionally, I brought about limitations I had in feeling like I didn't know which major I should pursue right out of school and determining which of the two would be most marketable. I feel as though there will be more demand for Business Analytics, however since I don't know my skills yet within that major it I hard to know "where I want to land" within this
