My Career

Making fancy cakes, breads, and other treats is something that I truly enjoy. This is my dream, creating recipes and using a creative flair to my crafting is something that I live for. Baking is quit a messy experiment. This is why I love baking. Creating new recipes adding a little Shantelle to the mix; experimenting with different flavors, ingredient, icings, textures, and much more. I loved baking with my grandmother’s at her house. My grandmother was an extraordinary baker, but she does not do it as much anymore, I guess it’s my turn to become the next great baker in my family. Although this fast-paced industry can be competitive, high turnover can create room for ambitious budding chefs. . Pastry chefs are in charge of the baking aspect of kitchens and restaurants, delivering cakes, breads, and any bread based components to meals. They work with a team of bakers and cooks to prepare, bake and decorate their food and they have to keep their team and their selves organized, stocked and motivated. I plan to be the best pastry chef that I can be. The field of baking and pastry is a small part of the larger industry of food preparation. Like it is in a lot of industries it helps to have prior experience in the field to ultimately become a successful pastry chef. Education, experience, on-the-job training, and industry certifications are all important for gettin higher-paying positions in the industry, like those with 5-star restaurants, hotels, boutique bakeries or cruise
