The Death of Laci Peterson On December 24, 2002, Laci Peterson was reported missing from her home in Modesto, California by her parents and husband. The Modesto police began their search for Laci Peterson before the standard forty-eight hour limit to file a missing person’s report because she was eight months pregnant. John Buehler, the lead detective on her case, claims there was no reason for her to be missing on Christmas Eve. The police went to the Peterson household and questioned her husband Scott.
Jochem Schoonmaker was a member of a family who came from Germany and Holland and settled in the colony of New York in the early 1600’s. He married Lydia Rosencrans in 1730 and together they had fifteen children. He was a farmer and his descendants continue farming his land to this day in the hamlet of Accord in Rochester. An early 18th century farmstead bearing his name is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
David Allan Coe was born out of Akron, Ohio on September 6, 1939. Coe was an outlaw country singer who wrote his own songs and some for others as well. Coe’s favorite singer as a child was a man called Johnny Ace. At the age of nine, Coe was sent to the Starr Commonwealth for Boys reform school. (Reuters) - A Pennsylvania man and his wife were each sentenced to up to four decades in state prison on Wednesday after pleading guilty in the murder of their disabled nine-year-old son, who was found starved to death in a dark, feces-smeared room last year. Judge John Cherry of Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas said Jarrod Tutko Sr., 39, and Kimberly Tutko, 40, were equally culpable in the death of Jarrod Tutko Jr. and the near-death of his sister Arianna, now 12. He sentenced the father to 21 to 42 years in prison, and gave his wife a sentence of 20 to 40 years.
Eric LeGrand is a former American football defensive tackle who played college football at Rutgers. He was born on September 4, 1990, Avenel, Woodbridge, NJ. He has twenty-five years of age and is paralyzed from the neck down due to an injury that occurred in football. This injury occurred in October of 2010 while attempting a tackle on the football field when he was twenty years old. I believe that his family, peers and coach would describe him as a strong and courageous person with determination that he will get back to his past self and continue to strive for his goals.
On the great day of August 7, 1742 one of our great generals was born. His name was Nathanael Greene. He lived for Forty Four years (1742-1786). He was one of the most respected generals of the Revolutionary War. When he was a child his education was limited, all though he received a good teaching with the available books, such as the Bible.

On August 17, 1959, in Houston Texas David Koresh was brought into this world by his mother Bonnie Sue Clark. His mother had him at a very early age. David’s early childhood life was very tough. He later moved in with his grandparents after his birth and reunited with his mother at the age of seven. They cared for David for many years.

In the short story “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson, a cruel tradition occurs in towns across the nation. Every year, the town gathers and at random chooses a head of the household and a member of that family to be stoned to death. Dave Hutchinson’s life is changed forever when his mother and father, Bill and Tessie Hutchinson, are chosen in the lottery.
