The name of my serial killer is David Parker Ray.

Biographical Information

David Parker Ray was born on November 6, 1939 and died on May 28, 2002.

David Parker Ray was born in Belen, New Mexico and died in Hobbs, New Mexico.

David Parker Ray was robbed of a normal childhood. Ray lived with his grandfather who introduced Ray to very graphic, violent pornography. When Ray saw his biological father, he was physically abused. Ray had a younger sister, but when his grandmother passed away, the two were split apart. David Parker Ray was also bullied around his friends and peers for being shy around females. As Ray entered his teenage years, he began to abuse various drugs and alcohol. David Parker Ray is known at the Toy Box Killer because he kept his victims detained to a homemade torture dungeon in his trailer home which is reported to cost $100,000. The torture chamber included a gynecologist's table, spreader bars, sex toys, whips, pulleys, saws, knives, syringes, drugs, diagrams of the human body, and an electricity generating device. David Parker Ray had used both phenobarbital and sodium pentothal to sedate his victims. Ray would often times auditorily or video record himself performing his crimes and play them for the victims when they regained consciousness. David Parker Ray’s modus operandi was to brutally torture his victims with his homemade device. He would then let his victims listen to the auditory tapes and/or watch the video tapes of Ray torturing and raping his victims. Ray would heavily drug and sedate his victims, often brainwashing them into forgetting what had happened. He would then presumably kill his victims. He also often times dumped women on the side of the road, naked and heavily sedated. David Parker Ray would keep items such as clothes or jewelry from his captives as his trophies. Investigators also suspected that along with David Parker Ray being a serial rapist, he was also likely a serial killer. However, no bodies were found or ever tied to his initial

O’Toole examined David Parker Ray’s infamous “toy box” and the sexual paraphernalia, drawings, and videos found suggested that Ray was infact a criminal sexual sadist.

As David Parker Ray was diagnosed with psycho-sexual disorder and he was labeled as a criminal sexual sadist, Ray’s diagnosis played no part in his trial and sentencing.

The key factors of David Parker Ray’s diagnosis was the “toy box” that included a gynecologist's table, spreader bars, sex toys, whips, pulleys, saws, knives, syringes, drugs, diagrams of the human body, an electricity generating device, and other sexual paraphernalia. Other key factors included the prosecution's testimony and the videos and audio tapes found throughout Ray’s home that clearly identified Ray has being a criminal sexual sadist with a pyscho-sexual disorder.

Mary Ellen O’Toole stated that there is no known therapy for David Parker Ray’s psycho-sexual disorder. O’Toole also stated that such corresponding behavior can only be stopped by apprehension.
