Dealing With Obstacles In My Life

This quote has been my inspiration to deal with the obstacles I’ve experienced throughout my life. Through all those times people have underestimated me, I’ve proved them wrong by being successful.

In my family, I have my mom and dad, my three sisters, and my one brother. I also have a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law. I have two nieces and two nephews named, Aubrey, Xavier, Jayden, and Marcia. A lot of my family are currently in the health area in some kind of way; whether it’s being a manager for a home that consists of people with disabilities or a registered nurse. But, it’s the obstacles that made me so successful. Any time I have taken on a challenge, everyone told me that I couldn’t do it. Unfortunately, people have always said that I’m not smart enough to complete a tough challenge. The negativity those people gave was my stamina to prove them wrong. It also gave me the determination to be successful with these challenges/obstacles.

I tend to do all I can to volunteer and help out. Every year I chose to help out my aunt’s home which has people who have disabilities. The reason why I choose to volunteer for them is that it puts a smile on the consumer’s face. It started five years ago and all I keep doing is finding reasons to always come back. It makes me happy to know that I help makes the consumers feel loved and cared for. It’s something that I’ll continue to volunteer for as long as I can. Helping these people have also been a main inspiration to go in the nursing program.

After I graduate high school, I plan on going to college at GRCC. My goal is to be working as a CNA and to be in school looking to become a registered nurse. After GRCC, I plan to go to college at Davenport University so, I can get my bachelors degree. Once I’m completed with all my schooling, my life purpose comes into play and that is to be a nurse.
