Romeo had met Juliet at her family's party, when Romeo laid eyes on Juliet he knew that he was in love. Some say that love is deadly and in this case it is. One of these characters just so happens to be Mercutio, while he is alive in the play he makes witty remarks and loves to mock Romeo with puns.
