The first government in the U.S. was called the Articles of Confederation. It was the first set of laws after the states became independent. The laws in the Confederation were very weak, and they all contracted each other. It also had a weak central/national government because the states didn’t want to give it too much power like the monarchy with the British. Some weaknesses in the first government were that each state no matter how big or small had only one vote, each state could coin its own money, making it hard to move, and lastly, they could not have a military so it would be hard to fight armed rebellions or militias.
Steve Jobs once said "No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life.
Death is a very difficult topic to just move on from. It’s a longing pain, which is difficult to imagine. Living a life without someone you love is the worst. And being able to move on from that is even more difficult. In times like WW2, where thousands of people were killed, it made many people forced to move on.

" Freedom is something that all humans value. Having the ability to do pretty much whatever you when you want is a privilege not a right. Unlike in the United States where we have that benefit, in Haiti the government has stripped that liberty from its own people with the new regime oppressing the citizens. Throughout the novel, Krik? Krak!, Edwidge Danticat suggest that death, water, and flight are the only methods to obtain freedom as a citizen under the rule of an oppressive government and culture.
Endeavour to Escape Death Humans have been fascinated by the human life cycle and how it inevitably ends in death. Fate is inevitable and there is no way to escape it, yet humans go to great lengths to try and avoid it. Fear of death underpins many peoples actions and drives them to do things they would not normally do. Edgar Allen Poe reinforces this idea through his literary work in “The Masque of the Red Death” as his protagonist reflects humanity’s fear of the inevitable. This can be examined through the use of foreshadowing, characterization and symbolism throughout “The Masque of the Red Death”.
Humans learn about the simplicity of their lives and how easy that life can end in a blink of an eye. The constant thought of death is crushing and makes life seem pointless. Humans start to realize that there is nothing they can do to truly escape death, and death starts to be a big part of their lives. It surrounds the world in all aspects of life. Truthfully, it is tough to go a day without seeing, hearing, or thinking about death.
No matter what religion, or belief an individual hails from, it can be assumed that most still fear death. However people die around us all day, and if you watch the news, death is a popular subject. As a Metallica song is titled, “to live is to die.” To some scientific theorists, there is a belief that you are never truly dead (not an afterlife). Merely the simple concept of, “energy can never be created or destroyed,” and the belief is that you simply are energy, as the hallowed equation goes, E=mc2.

Death and Dying is viewed differently across all aspects of our American society. The western side of our country has historically viewed death from the perspective that you can defy death. When you hear the word death or you hear that someone has died today in the news or on the television I know a lot of people think “Man, I feel sorry for the family that they have to go through that.” or they thank god that it was not them or their family members.” Sadly though people try to push away death and push away the fact that everyone dies at one point in time. This is even truer when they witness their own family member in the hospital with a critical condition that the doctors cannot fix even with modern medicines on the doctor’s side. Another such time would be when a person’s family member is diagnosed with an incurable sickness that is fatal.
