Although no concrete definition of happiness exists since it varies for each individual, risk taking usually does not play a role in achieving this emotion. In other words, we should be happy with what we have; if we are not, usually ever-present reasons to be happy are surrounding each human being; they are simply in need of recognition. The kid who receives a beaten daily is brimming with happiness on that one day that his father does not thrash a whip against his/her barren skin. Whereas, the child who is fortunate enough to have caring and providing parents is looking straight past the simple gift of parents they were given and focus mainly on their wants bringing them happiness (Ex. Little stuff in life is often forgotten or at least underappreciated. Everybody gets the chance to be alive, even if death closely follows birth. When looking back on the life of the individual the moments that will always be caged in his/her brain until eternity are the simple moments, not the time that a college application was rejected or when certain standards were unattained to qualify for a position on a certain sports team. My point is happiness should not be in need of tracking down within the period of a lifetime; happiness should be created out of what is already in existence. Elders are continuously talking about how if possible they would return to their youth and live life to the fullest. There is no need to wait for a risky opportunity to come along and grant you happiness when right now is available. All that is required for happiness to be created is a certain mindset and the only time limit to it is how long it takes the individual to realize.
