People have a different understanding and perception in relation to various concepts and terms. One such controversial concept among different individuals is Happiness. Some people take happiness as the start point of greatness while others take it as an end goal. Additionally, people express happiness in different ways. Happiness as well as its sources have been perceived and defined by various individuals based on various perspectives such as religion, philosophical, biological, and psychological. Therefore, this essay aims at demystifying the network engulfing the definition and perception about happiness and its sources. In some cases, happiness could depend on some factors such as relationship with friends and family, health status, and faith satisfactions. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to evaluate the different definitions and explanations regarding happiness. The definition of happiness varies from person to person even from people from the same city. For instance, in my country, Saudi Arabia, people from the Eastern side find happiness in money. Those people who believe in having good health condition have a simple definition of happiness. They found that happiness whenever they are free of diseases. When they walk, breathe, function well, and depend on them selves they found happiness. Since they are healthy, they have tendency to live longer than illness people. According to Porter, happiness and suicide rate moves in opposite direction. Happy people don’t want to die. For example, recently my grandfather was diagnosed with cancer and he was suffering.
