Success is a word that goes through many people’s minds throughout their entire life. Everyone has a different view of what “success” is and what it means to them to be successful. While growing up, I was surrounded by this idea that being successful is being rich and to have a top paying job like a doctor or a business woman. Now that I’m older, my ideas of success have changed but that's what growing up does to you. I’ve learned that there is more to success other than being rich and affording the material things. My parents are one of my definitions of success. Although they aren’t perfect, they provided what they can to my brother and I. They gave us a roof over our heads, food on the table, and even provided us with luxury goods. What success means to me now is to find happiness in my life. I want to work in a job that I’m happy doing and I want to be satisfied with how my life is going. Having a family is something I also want and if I do end up having a family, I want to build a healthy relationship with them. I want to be a good mom to my kids, someone that they can trust and rely on when they’re in a struggle. As corny as this sounds, I want a loving husband that treats me like a queen. Being healthy physically and mentally is another thing I want to accomplish in the next coming years. Just being able to build as a person and build these relationships with the people around me would be a dream come true. I want to be able to relate to them and have a fun time. With the money I make, I want to live in a nice condo in the downtown area with a pretty snazzy car.
