China is a well-known country located in Asia. Many people know it simply as a large over populated country. Some, particularly business students, know it as the “C” member of the BRICS countries who are developing. It is still the most populated country in the world at some 1.4 billion people, and that population is comprised of fifty-six ethnic groups. China’s demographics differ greatly, in many respects, than those of the United States. China is also the world leader in exports. They export a variety of products to a range of partners. China is ranked third in imports, which they mostly trade with the same people as they export with. China imports various nuclear things that coincide with their expansion of nuclear energy. Firstly, this is the most populated country in the world. The current population (as of November 10, 2015) stands at 1,405,052,780 people. The median age of this population is about thirty-six years old. This puts it at the older end of the world average which is twenty-four. This population includes the many ethnic groups within China. They are not all concentrated in one location, but rather, spread all about the country, the most well known of the ethnic groups would the Han. This group accounts for about ninety-two percent of the Chinese population. There are fifty-five other ethnic groups that make up for the remaining eight or so percent. There are multiple religions practiced in China such as Taoism, Buddhism, Islamism, Protestantism, and Catholicism. The Chinese have adopted an official religion. China named atheism as the official religion in the country, although, “Article thirty-six of the Chinese constitution says that Chinese citizens ‘enjoy freedom of religious belief.’” (cfr.org) China only recognizes the above five religions and the article defines them as the only normal religions. The official language of the country is Mandarin. There are seven dialects including Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, Wu, Min, Xiang, and Gan. China is ranked as the fourth largest country and has a landmass of 3,691,502 square miles. …show more content…

Almost anything you buy these days is labeled Made in China. This fact makes it no mystery as to why China is the world’s largest exporter. They export approximately $2,252,000,000,000 worth of goods. (cia.gov) The main places that they export to would be the United States, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea. (cia.gov) Other locations that they export to would be Brazil, Argentina, South Africa, Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Canada, and even more. (mit.edu) China exports a variety of items, most of which are technological in nature. These items would include computers, broadcasting equipment, telephones, data processing equipment, furniture, textiles, integrated circuits, apparel, and office machine parts. (cia.gov)
