Dental Hygienist Career Who Works in a Dental office? Dentists and their assistants, well of course they do! Unfortunately, many patients are unaware that dental hygienists also work closely with the dentists and their assistants. Dental Hygiene is also a career in the dentistry field.
The career field that I have chosen to go into is the medical field. In the medical field I would like to become a dental hygienist. The background that I have on dental hygienist is that you exam gums, clean teeth, and teach about oral care. The research that I have already done on this profession is a dental hygienist annual salary and required hour of work. Some more research I utilized is how many years of college are needed, what you do while at work, and if you work by yourself or who you work with.
After my program at SPSCC, I will take the National Board Dental Hygiene examination, in order to pursue my career. With the help of my high school education and knowledge of tests will lead me to be successful doing so. Thereupon, after my program at SPSCC and National Board Exam leads me into my career of a dental hygienist. My current education guides me into the career path of helping others and being close to a community. Considering this information, I have done as much as I can to be involved and know the information I need to start my next chapter of education.
My motivation in life thrives when I face challenges. My biggest challenge was moving away from my family and developing my network on my own. Growing up as a member of a Korean family, our greatest values are gathering and having quality time. Thus, it was hard to accept that I am no longer involved in family times due to the long distance. However, as I had more time for myself, I could look back at myself and explore my interest.

That curiosity never went down since that time. I wanted to work in dental office. Then my aim was to be a dentist. But after researching the years of schooling and finance I changed my aim to be a dental hygienist. Today dental hygienist as a career is flourishing day by day.
Dental assistants support dental specialists or dentists in carrying out dental routine. A dental assistant is not the real dental operator that performs on patients but only an assistant to the licensed dentist. Aspirants of dental assisting career need to attend a dental assisting program at either college or tech school so as to acquire a diploma, certificate or degree. The duration of the program depends on the type of certification targeted. The program comprises both theory and practical.
One big step forward into following my dreams. I am originally from Connecticut. I was born and raised there. My ambition to study Dental Hygiene and Therapy at University commenced in my teenage years, when I first came to London and visited the dentist. I am currently studying Dental Nursing at Teesside University. This course involves providing correct support to the dentist at the chair side, reassuring and supporting patients, maintaining a gold standard clinical environment, charting, dental anatomy and physiology. Studying this course has enhanced my knowledge of dental terminology and procedures as well as the anatomy of the oral cavity.
Growing up children have think they know what they want to be when they grow up but as they progress and get older they’re ideal career changes for the most part based on the changes they go threw themselves and experiences. For example I wanted to be an Actress because I would to watch the a lot of movies on the daily basis but then as I got older that changed, my ideal job now is have a good paying job and not have to work excess hours. I want to earn my way up to a good university and earn my degree, apply to an outstanding dental school and start my long years of residency that lie before me. One of my goals in the future is to help others in need for medical attention. It makes me happy when I see others happy. I want to give back to my community and help others so I can earn the respect that I’ve always wanted.
