On page 17 it states, “Capitan Preston has been arrested, and we are being told he will be charged with murder. It is claimed that he gave the order … that he ordered his men to fire on the citizens. Sir, I know Capitan Preston intimately. I can promise you he would not do such a thing. Shaara did show British points of view in battles like during the Boston Massacre the point of a soldier by the name of Hugh White. It states on page 10 and 11, “White felt his heart leap, saw a man go down, heard something form Preston, words, one word, “No”. Then it states on page 11, “White could not hold back, the terror and anger too strong, and as he pulled the trigger, he heard the man say “You can’t kill us all…”. Then the battle of Lexington and Concord it was Sergeant Pitcairn’s’ point of view. At the battle of Lexington on page 271 it states, “Down the line he heard a shout, an order, one of his officers yelling “Fire! Fire, damn you! Suddenly the line of British muskets exploded to flame…” Then he Battle of concord on page 278 it stated, “Suddenly there was a burst of fire, and it was not the rebel’s nit was Laurie’s’ men… The rebels fired a second time with more precision still, but then all order was gone, the scene engulfed in vast fog, shouts and screams blending with hard pops and chatter of the muskets.
