Characteristics of a child with ADHD are inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity, as for expressive language disorder the child is able to understand what is being said but they have a hard time expressing their thoughts and spoken words. Cognition and language: ADHD and Expressive Language Disorder: Difficulty with attention, may have memory problems, forgetfulness, make frequent errors, words might not be understood, have a limited vocabulary compare to their peers, have a hard time providing enough information, may not talk a lot but is able to understand others. Health/Sensory: The child can have disturbed sleep, compulsive eating, anxiety, chronic stress and low self-esteem. Behavior - personal/social: The way that a child with ADHD can be affected by personal/social skills can be by being unaware of the effect of their behaviors of other individual, would not know when they are bothering others, may exhibit problem initiating, joining conversation or play activities, at times loose information of what is being said. The child might have low self-esteem, can be aggressive, excitability, fidgeting or lack of restraint. Also the child with expressive language disorder have a hard time to communicate what they are thinking to their peers and might have a hard time making friends. …show more content…

Expressive Language Disorder: The child can have a very poor communication and messages are not clear having difficulty reading and expressing ideas, also having a hard time to retell what they had read. Math: ADHD: In math such as literacy a child with ADHD may have problem paying attention and can miss important detail in math, having a hard time to remember the math rules or formulas and following the math problem
