Description of the Project In the jungle there is much different kind of animals to encounter. Children will pretend to be in the jungle. The activity will be an outdoor activity in which dock tape will be used as the branches that has fallen off the trees. Hula hoops will be place in many diverse positions signifying water, quick sand and little streams and a balance beam to represent a bridge for animals to cross to the other side. Children will have created different animals mask with the assistance of the teacher. Children will be able to choose the type of animal masks in order to execute the sound of the animal. Children will begin their creative expression by walking around in the jungle. Children will extend their creative expression according to the environment presented. In presenting a jungle creative play give children the opportunity to present many expressions that has no set limit on how they should act. (1) Associating with Animals Sounds – children are able to roar like a lion, growl like a tiger, hiss like a snake, ribbit like a frog, trump like an elephant, tweet like a bird, ooh like a monkeys squawk like a parrot and buzz like a bee etc. (2) Engage in creative movement and dramatic play – children create movement with their bodies during their movement time by either scratching like a monkey, hissing crawling like a snake, walking on four paws like a lion etc. Dan Kainen state, “The jungle appeals in a very interesting ways to children because it allowed them to associate with many of their preferred animals like lions, elephants, snakes, monkeys, frogs etc. giving them sense of understanding of the animal
