Deviation from social norms is one of the definitions of abnormality, which believes that if person is not acting in accordance to the social norms and implicit rules is more likely to be classified as an abnormal. For instance, a person who has the habit of counting every lamp post and if he does not do it becomes worried. This makes him arrive late for work. That abnormal behave is affecting the person and at the same time the person is breaching a social norm that is this case is punctuality and commitment. Deviation from social norms varies depending on Cultural Relativism, that is when a culture changes from one to another and year after year, so it is hard to identify what behaviours are abnormal and what are not abnormal.
