Did More Invent The Word Utopia As We Know It Today?

Utopia was written in 1516 by a man named Thomas More, during the time that conflict was escalating and would eventually turn into the Reformation. The book is a detail of one of the main characters, Raphael Hythloday, idea of a perfect society. Though many speculate that More did not perceive the Utopia as a perfect society at all. I personally, agree with this statement. I don’t think that More wanted to start his own society or thought he was better then the leaders of his own country as Plato did in his book The Republic; however, I do believe that More used the book to discuss the things that he wanted change in his current country. I do have some questions about the book starting off, did More invent the word Utopia as we know it today?
