The Three Men Wanted
Is it just a rumor that the three men really survived the escape highly secured prison in the world…. Alcatraz? Frank Morris and the two brothers Clarence and John Anglin had a plan to escape Alcatraz on June 11, 1962. It took over a few months to chisel the hole in the wall with nail clippers. They also had to collect rain coats from around the prision to use as there boat across the freezing shark infested water. After they made it across the water they were never heard from again but there was a picture showing the two brothers in Brazil a couple years after the night of the escape. This proves that they did escape the prison and successfully made it across the water without dying.

Evidence to support this information is “ The three men found and tied the raincoats together to use as their boat across the water that was eventually found on the Island they washed up on.”Hopkinson. Not only did the inmates construct their raft with raincoats, they created life vest as well. The stitched life vest that were recovered after the escape were surprisingly well built, the seems appeared to be vulcanized, or sealed with the application of heat and pressure. John and the Anglin brothers may have gotten the idea to use vulcanization from magazines found in their cell blocks. Luckily for the two brothers, Frank Morris had escaped from prison before and he was the mastermind behind the escape of Alcatraz, without a doubt the three men escaped the horrifying
