Cognitive Assessment The difference between an IQ test and a Cognitive Assessment is that an IQ test works on the numerical value presented on a scale. A person with average intelligence usually scores between 90-110 on the IQ scale, whereas a person with the score of above 130 will be characterised as above average but a person with a score below 70 is a below average intelligent person. Now a Cognitive Assessment does not make use of a numerical scale. A Cognitive Assessment tests the functions of one's body through brain exercises and other skill activities. Selection and Screening By screening candidates, it means that there is a possibility of an interview being conducted. The candidates CV has been reviewed and they stand the chance of getting the job once and when they are interviewed. By screening the candidates, they are reviewed based on their qualifications compared to what is needed to complete daily tasks. Although, the candidates who meet the minimum requirements are included in the screening process. Once suitable candidates have been identified, the interviews are then conducted. The purpose of the interview is to gather and verify information that has been placed in CV’s. The candidates are also questioned on their qualifications, experience and knowledge that will be used to conduct their prospective jobs. Interviews can be done over the phone which will be recorded, or the interviews are done face to face with the candidates. Once a suitable candidate has been chosen, there are mandatory background checks done, as well as reference
