There was a great difference in special effects also. In the 1960 version there was a flashing light for a meteor, aliens looking down on Maple Street, and someone throwing a rock and shattering the glass of a light. However in the 2002 episode, cell phones were ringing, shaking and shattering glass was happening,
For example, in the book, only one person drowns Pony, but in the movie, three people drowned him. This is different because in the book Pony is being drowned at the water fountain by only one person. On the other hand in the movie Pony is getting drowned by three people instead of one like it is in the story. Another comparison between the book and the movie would be when Ponyboy goes to court and doesn’t testify in the book, but in the movie he does. These are different because in the book when Pony has to go to court for the murder of Bob he doesn’t testify in the movie when he goes to court he does testify.
Stories today stories from thousands of years ago still have the same meaning and conflicts today. I will be comparing Antigone and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. I will compare the motives, outcomes, themes, and even myself to these two stories. The motives in Return of the Jedi and Antigone are very similar to each other.
One difference is in the book Percy and Annabeth was 12 years old and in the movie Percy and Annabeth was17 years old. Annabeth has blue eyes and brown hair in the movie, but she has blonde hair and grey eyes in the book. And Luke mentions to meet his dad once in the book but in the film, he never met his dad. In the book, Grover has a limp but in the film, he has crutches. Another different is Mr. D does not appear in the film but is in charge of camp half-blood as a punishment.
It’s easy to pin point the difference but in reality they share common themes which includes life lessons. Despite the difference in the years and the actors both the classic and sequel has common themes that can be applied to situations now in day. When we compare and contrast
In the case of the novel Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, there are many differences and similarities between the book and the Disney Home Videos version directed by Stephen Sommers. There are differences and similarities in the elements of plot, characters, and characterization. All together, these elements make up the move from a book version to a movie version. Many of the differences between the movie and the book are due to the simplifying of the
Stars Wars are Antigone are timeless pieces of creative art that will continue to be loved for centuries to come. In both stories you follow a noble protagonist. Even in works as far apart in time as they are, you can still find some striking similarities. In both stories the protagonists face a moral dilemma. Antigone wished to bury her brother but the king deemed it to be illegal.
Jediism Have you ever felt or wondered if there was actually more than there already is out in space? Do you like or have even seen a Star Wars movie? Believe it or not, there is in fact a religion that you might not knew existed that follows the way of the Jedi. This religion believes and follows everything that has to do with the famous movie Star Wars but more specifically, the Jedi’s.
Even though they may have shared some similarities, they also have some differences like the setting of where
Another difference is that in the Christmas Carol movie they sang while in the book they never sang. Another difference
Space and magic are two topics that are usually found on complete opposite sides of the spectrum. The Harry Potter series feature a young boy, Harry Potter, who is thrown into the magical school of Hogwarts to learn how to become a wizard and defeat Lord Voldemort. Star Wars is a movie series about a boy, Luke Skywalker, who holds the powers of the force and goes on several space adventures to destroy the Empire. On the surface these movies seem very different without much similarity at all; however, that could not be further from the truth.
I feel in both story’s it was that way . My second connection is to the real world and ‘’Star Wars’’,it has lots of battles and it teaches you to be strong because not every thing will be easy. Life is a roller coaster, it has it’s ups and downs. So does ‘’Star Wars’’ when every that work together it’s always best.
Looking at the big picture in both films, it’s obvious why A New Hope is considered to be vastly better than The Phantom Menace. A New Hope has a simple plot that is easy to understand. The characters are logical and are generally relatable. While The Phantom Menace overuses special effects, and doesn’t have a clear
While the similarities are smaller, like the considerate personalities shared between the main characters of both
For one thing, the word ‘star’ is in both of the titles. Both universes are portraying stories with philosophical messages in them. Star Wars centers around the concept of “good versus evil”. Star Wars emphasises against a totalitarian system and promotes societies that show equality. Star Trek shows the theme of exploration and the consequences (good or bad) of interference with other worlds and cultures.
