The year 2020, a pandemic arose changing life as we know it. The deadly virus, Covid-19, slowly spreading its way across the world, soon becoming the creation of a worldwide panic. As the virus took over, everywhere around the world shut down, putting everyone’s lives on hold. Stuck in quarantine for months on end, with schools and jobs closed, people now would have to rely on digital technology to keep up with life. From having schoolwork on a zoom call to online telehealth visits or scrolling endlessly on social media to stay updated with the world, digital technology has taken over significantly more during Covid-19. Now three years post covid we can acknowledge how the world has changed drastically as digital technology enhances, raising the ethical question; did digital technology benefit society during Covid-19 or did it do the opposite?
