Artificial is any substance used to add nutrients to the soil to promote soil fertility and increase the plant growth. In plantation, macronutrients and micronutrients are essential for plant growth. Artificial fertilizer has made enormous gains in food despite rapid population growth and a shortage of land (Craswell & Karjalainen, 1990). Although fertilizer increase the soil acidity, we are agreed that there are advantages of using chemical fertilizer like increase the yield production and enhance the plant growth due to increase the number of population. As much as more advantages on the usage of artificial fertilizer, there are several disadvantages such as water pollution, toxic waste potential and kill or prevent weeds (Campbell, …show more content…

Plants utilize nitrogen in the amalgamation of proteins, nucleic acids, and hormones. If the plant is lacking in nitrogen, it will cause the plant to be stunted and the leaves will be yellowish. At the same time plant also require phosphorus, a part of nucleic acids, phospholipids, and a few proteins. This is because, the phosphorus is important energy to drive metabolic substance responses. Potassium is another real substance that plants get from the dirt. It is utilized as a part of protein amalgamation and other key plant forms. Yellowing, spots of dead tissue, and frail stems and roots are all demonstrative of plants that need enough potassium. Thus, without fertilizers the development of plant growth will …show more content…

The fertilizer also help to increase the crop yield production. Basically, the fertilizer make a huge changes in the production of the crop yield because it induce the growth of the plants from the early stage. It also shorten the harvest time for a crop yield. This is because the plant get all the nutrition on the early stage of growth since the fertilizer been given to the plant while it was still juvenile stage. Like maize, before the usage of the fertilizer it can only be harvested once a year but after the fertilizer been introduced the maize can be harvest twice a year. This result increase in the crop production and same to food production in the country. This also related to the country’s economy. When the food production increase, the food product can be sale in the country or export to other country to gain economy in the
