Handicapped individuals are usually seen as a nuisance within a society and the healthcare system has left them with unmet needs. Policies have been enacted such as The American Disability Act (ADA), is a civil law that restricts discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public. Some people think the ADA has inadvertently provoked more damaged in the handicapped community and should be disbanded, while others have expressed the urgency of creating more policies to provide those in need with untroublesome access to health care. People may argue that Discrimination within healthcare does not exist, while others realize the very real recurring issue people with disabilities face in health care. Discrimination comes in copious forms, whether it's that the building didn't follow the ADA protocol and is not handicapped accessible, or that a doctor skips a simple part of an examination, or even turned away because they couldn't afford the experimental trial that could save their loved one's lives. More often than not Americans have adopted and become masters of compartmentalizing, they rationalize ignoring it because it doesn't directly affect them.
